AfIA is managed by African Achievers International [AAi] a Company registered in England and Wales, with links in several countries around the world. It is also a subsidiary program of NILE African Development [NAD] a Charity registered in England and Wales.

AfIA Awards are the largest philanthropic awards of, by and about Africa, celebrating the greatest charitable achievements by non-profit organizations, socially conscious businesses, and individuals worldwide. Their collective efforts have impacted the lives of millions in Africa and many people in countries worldwide.
AfIA AS A SOCIAL MOVEMENT
AfIA Awards have now shifted from just awards to a social movement; we hope to focus our communication strategy towards high-impact non-profit organisations, social entrepreneurs, business executives, grant-makers and other progressively-minded change makers.
AfIA AWARDS' BACKGROUND AND VISION
Our vision is to enhance the philanthropy and innovation capacity and capabilities of Africa’s non-profit and social enterprise sector. This supports Africa’s development agenda by generating innovation, dynamism, and the creative spark within Africa’s Youth and rural communities.
Our Recognitions are research informed, facilitating innovation and enhancing social enterprise skills and is strategically aligned to Africa’s Sustainable Development Goals strategy also working with the Local NGO Partnerships.
We have memorandums of understanding with a number of agencies across Africa and around the world to work with them on enhancing the social enterprise and innovation capacity within Africa’s youth and women workforce. We also work with a number of NGOs to support their innovation agenda.
Our Program has been recognising and awarding Africa’s grassroots innovation and social economic growth since 2005. We have an African presence and the Awards take a leading role in building consortia to access UK, USA, EU and global funding.
AfIAs RECOGNIZES THE GREATEST CHAMPIONS OF SOCIAL PROGRESS.
The initiative identifies social impact using a comprehensive application and evaluation process, culminating in a weekend celebration that attracts the top leaders of the social sector.
